I will guide you on a fascinating journey, to get to know, as in the mid-nineteenth century, a group of noble Cortonesi, who decided to build and equip Cortona with a new space for performances.
The Accademia degli Arditi since 1854, with the motto “Niente l’arresta”, has contributed with such determination to create a wonderful building, the “Teatro all’Italiana” with the aim of “Educating and instructing while delighting”.
The Signorelli Theater was, and is a place, where the Cortonese Community has given life to events of great importance, on its stage great actors and musicians have performed, and still perform.
