Tour description
This route is dedicated to those who want to make a visit in a different way, to discover hidden and suggestive corners, alleys and alleys, churches and monasteries, small squares with extraordinary panoramic views up to Porta Montanina, with traces of the ancient Etruscan walls and of the ancient aqueduct that came from the Cortonese mountain, we will also meet parts of ancient Roman cisterns.
The starting point for this route is Piazza Garibaldi, the “Panoramic balcony towards the Valdichiana”.
The itinerary includes some climbs, recommended for those who love walking.
At the end of the walk, tasting of local wines with an expert who will explain the various vines, accompanied by cheeses, salami and Tuscan bread, in a small and charming room in the historic center of Cortona.
